Upon establishing Upton Financial Group, David Ryan understood that an M&A advisory firm needed to focus exclusively on the desired results of its clients and, in turn, left the public accounting firm which he had founded years before. He came to understand that a “tax season” or “audit season” is not something that one can escape in a public accounting firm, nor is it an acceptable divergence of focus when considering the significance of a business merge or sale. David has followed this idea of exclusive commitment and has since dedicated himself exclusively to the M&A industry.
